STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

LANDMARK CHURCH HISTORY

Landmark Church began with just a few couples gathered in a living room and an ironing board serving as the pulpit. Through prayer and faith, God opened the door for services to be held in the Super 8 Motel conference room in Strafford, Missouri.

As the church grew, God bonded the people together—sometimes through unusual means, like fundraising by pumping sewage at an Airstream campground. Ministries for children and youth took root in borrowed spaces such as McDonald’s and local schools, and even in those unconventional places, lives were transformed by God’s faithfulness.

Over time, the Graves family generously donated 9.5 acres of land, which was soon referred to as “The Promised Land.” Through sacrificial giving, countless hours of labor, and God’s abundant provision, the congregation built its permanent home. This facility created room for children, students, and worship to flourish—becoming a place where people could encounter God in a life-changing way.

Today, Landmark is more than a name or a building—it is a family, a home, and a place marked by love, growth, and the presence of God. Above all, Landmark exists for God’s kingdom and His glory, to impact Strafford and beyond.

 FAQs

  • Upon entering Landmark, you will be greeted by our Landmark Greeters Team. If you have any questions, or need directions, they will be happy to show you. Before service, you can check out the coffee shop for coffee or breakfast. Service on Sunday starts at 9AM. This consists of approximatly 30 min. of worship and an hour of a message.

  • Landmark has a nursery program for children from Newborn to Toddlers. Landmark Kids Church has services during the Adult Services right across the foyer. Youth will stay in the Adult Service on Sundays, but have their own worship, message, and games on Wednesday nights.

  • Yes! We have a variety of Small Groups for all ages. Please check out the Life Groups tab under ABOUT to find the group that best suits you.

  • Landmark has a prayer service each Saturday night at 6PM. In this service you will experience live worship along with the congregation gathering together to pray for each other, America, Israel, Local Schools, Revival, the Church, and so much more!
